Under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) is a Category 1 Miniratna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE). In the Dakshina Kannada District of Karnataka State, north of Mangaluru City, is where MRPL is situated (India). The 15.0MMTPA (Million Metric Ton Per Annum) Refinery has a flexible design that allows it to handle crudes with a wide range of APIs and produce a wide range of high-quality products. It also contains complex secondary processing units.
A nearly complete variety of petroleum products, including Naphtha, LPG, Motor Spirit, High-Speed Diesel, Kerosene, Aviation Turbine Fuel, Sulphur, Xylene, Bitumen, Pet Coke, and Polypropylene, can be produced at MRPL's refinery.
